  • Execute gear changes, mechanical adjustments, and calibrations to support production requirements and ensure proper alignment, operational efficiency, and product quality.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, identify root causes, and implement timely corrective actions to restore equipment functionality.
  • Maintain and repair manufacturing machines used for printed circuit board (PCB) production and electronics assembly, including SMT equipment, conveyors, ovens, test chambers, vacuum systems, and related machinery.
  • Use electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics to trace faults down to individual components and determine effective repair strategies.
  • Use meters, gauges, diagnostic tools, and hand tools to test, adjust, calibrate, and repair equipment to meet operational and safety specifications.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, including component replacement, alignment, and tuning, to keep equipment running at peak performance.
  • Operate machines when needed to verify proper functionality after maintenance or repair activities.
  • Document maintenance activities by writing clear repair notes and reports as required, ensuring accurate maintenance records and traceability.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and root-cause analysis methods to improve equipment reliability, reduce recurring issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Occasionally operate forklifts or scissor lifts to access equipment or move materials in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and operations teams to prioritize work, support production goals, and communicate equipment status and repair timelines.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures while working on high-tech manufacturing equipment, maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to safely perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and follow established safety protocols.
  • High attention to detail with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to write clear maintenance and repair notes and complete required documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working with surface mount technology (SMT) equipment and electronics manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in working with equipment that uses chemicals, heat, vacuum, lasers, and drilling systems.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and root-cause analysis methods to drive continuous improvement.
  • IPC certifications related to electronics quality standards are a strong plus.
  • Experience operating forklifts or scissor lifts in a maintenance or industrial setting.
