Overview
Beaufort is seeking a Systems & Test Engineer to support product verification, validation, and qualification activities across safety-critical aerospace and marine systems.
This role suits a hands-on mechanical or aerospace engineer with experience in test execution, analysis, and certification-facing work.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute qualification and verification test plans
- Own and maintain requirements verification matrices (V&V)
- Lead and support physical testing activities (lab, rig, or field-based)
- Analyse test data and produce clear technical reports
- Conduct analytical assessments to support product qualification
- Assess test evidence reuse across similar products
- Interface with internal teams, customers, and certification bodies
- Support DFMEA activities and engineering documentation
- Contribute to process improvements and engineering best practices
Required Experience
- Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or similar)
- Experience in test, validation, or product qualification
- Proven experience running hands-on engineering tests
- Experience with verification & validation (V&V) processes
- Ability to interpret and manage technical requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with customers or certification authorities
Desirable Skills
- Experience with DFMEA
- Familiarity with regulated industries (aerospace, defence, marine, automotive)
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
